We like children, we really do. Anything that they will do, we would still find them cute. But are you a bride who tries to choose children who will be part of your entourage because of that criterion alone? Why not choose a kiddo who will participate during your wedding day who is of proper age, well-behaved, and of course, cute? Along with your other wedding details and features such as the wedding favors, the bridal dress, the wedding venue, this tiny part of the entourage should also be well-thought out.
I have once attended a cousin’s wedding and she chose our very cute two-year-old nephew to be the ring bearer. Although he was so cute in his suit, he put up tantrums minutes before the wedding; he ended up walking the aisle, together with his mom, crying and shouting. Well, what bride will want that kind of scenario? Some brides would even make sure that they provide beautiful and unique wedding favors or make certain that the food will be as sumptuous as ever, then she will just let this scene to happen? And so, to avoid this kind of scene, it is imperative to be aware of these ideas when you are planning to include the cute little ones in your wedding entourage:
Consider the Child’s Age. Choose a kid relative or friend’s child who is of proper age. With proper, it means, five to six years old or a little older than that. In that age, a child will be able to follow instructions when being coached regarding the bridal entourage march. By choosing the right age of the young ones who will be a part of the ceremony, you can avoid problems such as youngster tantrums.
Consider to Let the Ring Bearer Hold on to “Just Pillows”. Although you will have a ring bearer who is of proper age, you won’t ever bear to think that a ring or both of them will be lost at the day of the wedding, right? So with this, it will be much better to let the ring bearer hold on to just pillows so that no fear of losing the ring will be felt by the bride or the groom himself. Unless, you have complete trust on your ring bearer, it will be okay to let them be your keeper.
Consider Letting the Children Walk with One Another. Have you noticed that no matter how unfamiliar a child is to the other, they still become friends? Well, you let them walk by pair or let the three of the flower girls just march on the aisle together, and not solo, you may be free of hassle when it comes to children tantrums or unlikely behaviours.
Consider Having a Kiddos’ Venue during the Reception. I remember a friend who got married and designated a place for the kids in the wedding reception for all the children who might attend her wedding, the part of the entourage and the guests’ kids, for them to also enjoy the reception which is definitely for the adults. Coloring books, toys, and kiddie meals can be assigned to that area of the reception. This could be your cool and tots-y wedding favors to the youngsters.
